David Hockney Exhibition At
Tate Britain
|
A Special Interest Day in London |
Friday
10th March 2017 |
 |
David Hockney, one of the most
popular and influential British
artists of the twentieth
century, returns to Tate Britain
in 2017 for his most
comprehensive exhibition yet.
As he approaches his 80th
birthday, Hockney continues to
change his style and ways of
working, embracing new
technologies as he goes. From
his portraits and images of Los
Angeles swimming pools, through
to his drawings and photography,
Yorkshire landscapes and most
recent paintings – some of which
have never been seen before in
public – this exceptional
exhibition shows how the roots
of each new direction lay in the
work that came before.
A once-in-a-lifetime chance to
see these unforgettable works
together.
We meet at Tate Britain at
11.00am for coffee, before an
introductory talk at 11.30am by
Frank Woodgate, a very popular
Arts Society lecturer. This is
followed at 12.30pm by a buffet
lunch. Timed tickets for entry
to the exhibition are at 1.30pm
and 2.30pm.
Numbers are restricted, so
please book early to ensure you
get a ticket |
