Visits & Guided Tours - Programme
2012
Our members have the opportunity to
attend very reasonably priced guided
tours. These optional events happen
three or four times a year and include
visits to exhibitions, galleries,
museums, stately homes, gardens,
cathedrals and other places of interest.
A trip to the home of the 7 regiments that make up Her Majesty's Household Division and who enjoy the privilege of guarding the sovereign and the Royal Palaces.
The day includes attending the Punishment Parade and lunch of ham, egg and chips at a local pub.
Lancing Chapel an architectural masterpiece, was built high on the Sussex Downs, and contains a wealth of stained glass, carvings and tapestries.
After our guided tour we travel to Nymans, one of the great 20th century gardens with an important collection of rare plants, set around a romantic house and ruins , in a beautiful wooded estate.

Museum which is housed in a pair
of fine
early Georgian Town houses, and
contains an amazing collection
of more than 3000 fans from all
over the world.
Lunch will be taken at Rangers
House
where we view the beautiful
Wernher collection, the
life-time collection of
the self-made millionaire,
Julius Wernher.
